At VNA Community Services, we believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity, respect, and support—especially those facing the challenges of dementia. That’s why we are proud to announce the launch of Dementia Friendly Galesburg, an initiative designed to transform our community into a safe, welcoming, and understanding place for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
We are partnering with Dementia Friendly America (learn more at www.dfamerica.org) to bring this transformative movement to Galesburg. By joining a nationwide network of dementia-friendly communities, we are working to ensure that every individual, organization, and business has the tools and knowledge needed to create a supportive environment.
The Power of Community
We can’t do this alone. Building a dementia-friendly community requires the dedication of community partners—businesses, faith communities, local organizations, and individuals—willing to learn, adapt, and support those living with dementia. We are actively seeking Dementia Champions—community members who will advocate, educate, and lead the charge in spreading awareness and fostering compassion.
