A month-long community campaign supporting Knox County seniors
For the past several years, VNA Community Services has rallied Knox County around a simple truth: when our community comes together, no senior has to face life’s challenges alone.
Sunshine for Seniors is a month-long celebration held throughout June, culminating in the big “Rays and Graze” event, bringing together local businesses, community partners, and residents to support seniors across Knox County.

Sunshine for Seniors is the next chapter in VNA Community Services’ tradition of community-based fundraising and awareness. Throughout the month of June, participating businesses help raise support for local seniors through creative promotions, featured items, special events, and percentage-of-sales days.
Why It Matters
Funds raised through Sunshine for Seniors and Rays and Graze help VNA Community Services continue essential programs for Knox County seniors, including:
• Home Delivered Meals
• Senior Center programs
• Dementia Friendly Galesburg initiatives
• Outreach to isolated seniors

Stir Coffee Company — $1 for every Latte Sunshine or Sunshine Sparkler sold in the month of June.
The Beehive — $1 for Sunburst Tea sold in the month of June.
Sunshine Sweets — $1 for every Sunshine Cookie sold in Month of June.
Iron Spike Brew Pub — $1 for Pint of “Elder Brau” sold in the month of June.
Flour and Fibers — $2 for every “Sunshine” Loaf sold in the month of June.
Stray Cat Art — offering % of sale of all Solar Lights in the month of June.
Dante & Dory’s Pet Emporium — will be asking to round up all sales to nearest $ the month of June.
