Your health is of the utmost importance to us here at VNA. We plan to do everything in our power and act in accordance to all procedures mandated from our parent agency, the Illinois Department on Aging.
VNA Community Services has been tasked by the Illinois Department on Aging to suspend all services where seniors will be meeting together. Effective immediately, ALL VNA congregate meal sites will temporarily suspend their meetings. There will still be food for those who want it, but you will not be able to eat it on site.
Our facilities will offer “To Go” meals through Friday, March 19, to be delivered to your vehicle curb side at VNA and satellites.
After Friday, March 19, shelf-stable food will be available.
How to Request Shelf Stable Meals
Call the VNA at 309-342-1152 to request Shelf Stable meals. We can then deliver a 10 day (2 business week) supply of shelf stable meals that are meant as an alternative to the congregate meals you are missing. If you have already come to a congregate meal this year you will only need to give your name and where you are located within Knox County. If you are trying to get them for the first time, you will need to fill out an intake form over the phone with our admin.
